About Zedaker Upholstery

Built on hard work, honesty, and craftsmanship.

Zedaker Upholstery is rooted in family tradition and more than 30 years of sewing experience. From automotive and marine to aviation and commercial upholstery, our work is guided by old-school values and a commitment to doing things right.

The Zedaker Name

The name Zedaker is my middle name, inherited from my grandfather. It represents a legacy of hard work, honesty, and fairness.

During the Depression, Zedaker Mears built a life through hard work on the farm, starting with one mule, a plow, and just 10 acres. Through perseverance and determination, he grew that farm to more than 2,000 acres, raised three children, and founded a church for my grandmother Myrtice, the Preacher at the Church in Cypress, Florida that still stands today.

That legacy still shapes this business today: work hard, be fair, be honest, and do the job right.

A Life in Sewing

My name is Tony Zedaker Stanley, and I have been sewing for more than 30 years. My approach to upholstery was shaped by a strong foundation in craftsmanship, where details matter and shortcuts have no place.

Whether it is a seat recover, a foam rebuild, a marine cushion, or an aviation interior, the goal is always the same: create work that looks right, fits right, and lasts.

Honesty

Straight answers, clear expectations, and workmanship you can trust.

Fairness

Practical recommendations and quality work at a fair value.

Craftsmanship

Careful fit, clean stitching, and results built for years of use.

Learning the Craft

In the 1980s, I apprenticed under Christo Kotsovis, a master tailor from Greece who learned the trade from his father. From him, I learned that superior work begins with the pattern, the shape, and the seam.

That lesson still guides everything we do. Great upholstery is not just about covering a seat — it is about creating the right shape, achieving the proper fit, and stitching a seam that is both clean and durable.

Pattern making, perfect shape, and the perfect seam — those are still the keys to a superior result.

Quality you can see. Durability and comfort you can enjoy for years to come.

Zedaker Upholstery combines old-school values with practical, durable craftsmanship for automotive, marine, aviation, and commercial projects.
